Reginald Davis

Reginald Davis of Cambridge, England, founder of the sport of unicycle painting, with his "reduced bicycle" easel.
At left is Darren Kent, another 19th century pioneer, scouting for motifs on an ultimate wheel. Published in Harper's magazine, June 4, 1897, "English Art Wheelers Wield the Brush on Our Back Roads."

In 1902 Mr. Davis came to Chicago to found Western Wheel Works and the Illinois Invitational, one of the first group unicycle painting events.
